The current global economic climate, coupled with the ever increasing demands from stakeholders to improve organizational performance and increase bottom-line, has resulted in many organizations hopping on to the outsourcing bandwagon or adopting shared services. Use of a BPO as opposed to an application service provider (ASP) usually means that a certain amount of process is transferred to the company that is running the process elements on behalf of the outsourcer.
